Annual February Challenge is back!!!!

We are excited to kick off our annual February challenge again this year!
The challenge is to practice with us twenty-four times within the month of February. Any class, any style (special events included) *.  A month of regular yoga is a wonderful way to dive deeper into your practice and create a healthy, long-lasting routine and be part of our studio community!

Why only twenty-four practices? We believe that rest is a key element of the yoga experience. On your days off, read a book, practice mindfully drinking tea or sit and just breathe.

Master Class - with Liz Huntly | Sunday 1:30-3:00 PM

Please don’t be dissuaded by the term “masterclass.“ Please! This is a great opportunity for all of you who want to dig deeper, who want to learn more about your yoga practice, about your body and mind. You don’t have to be a super advanced practitioner. (But advanced practitioners are welcome, of course.) If you are keen to understand more and willing to work, our monthly, 90-minute masterclass will suit you well. Each session will be dedicated to one or several related challenging poses. Our goal is not to master those poses in a ready-made approach, but to break them down in an intelligent way and to really understand and make the poses accessible. Each session will include a short discussion of relevant philosophy and anatomy, a carefully sequenced class to prepare the body, an in-depth look at each challenging pose including accessible variations, relaxation and meditation.

(Included with studio memberships, drop in and class passes applicable)

Sound Bath - with Miriam Lyon | Friday 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Laying in resting pose, you’ll feel the vibrations of singing bowls, chimes, drums, vocals, and more. Guided into deep relaxation via breathing exercises and visualization, these events are curated to bring harmony to your entire being - mind, body (physical & energetic), and emotions. Sound therapy has been shown to engage the parasympathetic nervous system, which naturally brings a sense of calm and ease. The pace and qualities of our world often encourage our nervous systems to be in overdrive, working hard, doing a lot, and even feeling tired or wired as a result. The sound bath experience is a sweet antidote to these life stresses, allowing time to pause, release, ground, and connect.
